Hero ISL Auction 2015: Sunil Chhetri sold to Mumbai City FC for Rs 1.2 crore :
The 2015 Indian Super League (ISL) Auction took place in Mumbai on 10 July with 10 I-League players up for sale. Indian players Sunil Chhetri, Robin Singh, Thoi Singh, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Rino Anto ,Jackichand Singh, Seityasen Singh (both Royal Wahingdoh), Anas Edathodika, Arata Izumi (both Pune FC) and Karanjit Singh.
1) Jackichand Singh ( pune city)
The bidding started with a Mumbai City FC and FC Pune City in an offering war for the 23-year-old. FC Goa joined in, however they were in the long run pushed aside by the two Maharashtra clubs – Pune and Mumbai. Pune City at long last wound up grabbing the adolescent for Rs. 45 lakh
2) Thoi Singh (Chennaiyin FC)
Chennaiyin FC got their man, they had to pay Rs. 86 lakhs for the Manipur born midfielder.
3) Anas Edathodika (Delhi Dynamos)
Delhi Dynamos got him for Rs. 41 lakhs playing under their new manager – Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos.
4) Eugeneson Lyngdoh (FC Pune City)
As the bids crossed the Rs. 1 crore mark, FC Pune Cityeventually made the winning bid of a massive Rs. 1.05 crores.
5) Sunil Chhetri (Mumbai City FC )
Mumbai City FC did eventually sign up India’s best player in the last decade with an enormous fee of Rs. 1.20 crores.
6) Arata Izumi (Atletico de Kolkata)
Atletico de Kolkata stepped in and took the bid up to Rs 68 lakhs.
