Afellay Deal Done : Stoke City complete signing of Ibrahim Afellay on a 2-year deal

Stroke City have declared the signing of one-time Barcelona superstar Ibrahim Afellay.

Afellay, now 29, had struggled to break into the Barcelona group and has spent late seasons on credit at Schalke and Olympiacos.
He now turns into the fourth previous Barcelona youth teamer to sign for the Potters, joining Bojan Krkic, Marc Muniesa and Moha El Ouriachi.
Potters CEO Tony Scholes told his club's official site: "its a well known fact that Ibrahim was needed by various clubs and we are naturally charmed that he has decided to go along with us.
"He's plainly amped up for the possibility of playing in the Premier League and the way that he knows such a variety of players who are as of now at the club will undoubtedly help him sink into his new environment."
Afellay, who has traveled to Stoke's pre-season preparing camp in Evian, began his vocation with PSV Eindhoven.
He won an entire host of distinctions amid his time with Barcelona - including the Champions League - in spite of the fact that his time at the Nou Camp was disturbed by damage issues. He showed up for the club and had advance spells with Schalke and Olympiacos.
