Swansea Transfer News : Swansea slap £25m price tag on Ashley Williams, Crystal Palace target


Swansea City are hoping to battle off Crystal Palace's interest for club-skipper Ashley Williams by slapping a £25m sticker upon the leader of the Welsh worldwide.
The Welsh club's boss Garry Monk has expressed his longing to keep Williams at the club, saying "He is going no place", in the midst of reports of interest from Palace manager Alan Pardew.
30-year-old Williams is said to be an target for Pardew, who needs a focal protector before the Premier League season commences, and reports say the previous Newcastle United supervisor was setting up an offer to test Swansea's determination.
However Swansea, who accomplished their best ever complete in the top-flight last term, have put a substantial cost upon their club commander whilst Garry Monk is certain the player, who is under contract until 2018, will stay with the Swans.
What's more, Monk is sure Williams, whose momentum Swans arrangement keeps running until 2018, will again be driving the Welsh side out in the new season.
Minister said: "Cinder will be here, he'll be here with Swansea.
"For as long as six or seven years he's been connected with a group in the summer.
"In any case, Ash is exceptionally dedicated to the club, he's our commander and he's skipper of Wales too.
"It's a major year for him with capability thinking of his nation.
"I would prefer think he'll not to do anything that unsettles him.
"He'll need to give himself the most obvious opportunity to qualify with Wales and have a decent season with Swansea also.
"I know he is anticipating it and is completely centered around the season ahead with Swansea.
