Uwe Hunemeier Transfers : Brighton sign German defender


BRIGHTON & Hove Albion have finished the marking of German defender Uwe Hunemeier from Bundesliga 2 side SC Paderborn.
The 29-year-old passed his medicinal at the American Express Elite Football Performance Center early today, and joins Albion on a three-year deal for an undisclosed charge.
Seagulls director Chris Hughton said: "I'm pleased to acquire somebody of Uwe's experience. He has played at the top level in German football and we all expertise high the principles arrive.
"He has great administration qualities, and alongside his quality, he will add an awesome deal to our cautious choices. He is of a better than average age to incorporate into the group and squad.
"He is an extremely famous player at SC Paderborn and it would be simple for him to stay there, however he needs another test, he needs that to be in England and he has demonstrated an awesome longing to go along with us."
Hunemeier ascended through the positions at Borussia Dortmund's childhood foundation and made his first-group debut for the German goliaths against Bayern Munich in December, 2005.
Following six years with Dortmund, the protector did the change to second-level Energie Cottbus in July, 2010.
He delighted in an effective first season with the East German club and scored a sum of nine objectives as the club secured a 6th set completion in Bundesliga 2.
