West Brom Transfer News : Aston Villa are close to signing  Joleon Lescott for £1m from West Bromwich Albion

Aston Villa have made a move to sign West Bromwich Albion defender Joleon Lescott.
Lescott, 32, is entering the last year of his agreement at West Brom in the wake of joining on a two-year arrangement the previous summer taking after his takeoff from Manchester City on £1m transfer.
The inside back showed up in all rivalries for West Brom in his presentation season, yet was compelled to fill in at left-back on a few events despite the fact that he likes to play midway.
The late landing of James Chester from Hull City for £8 million could put Lescott's place in Tony Pulis' side being referred to and Villa are prepared to test West Brom's resolve to keep hold of the England worldwide.
Estate supervisor Tim Sherwood is quick to support his cautious choices with Ron Vlaar's agreement having lapsed and sources told ESPN FC that he sees Lescott as a perfect substitution in light of his experience and initiative qualities.
Albeit West Brom have an alternative of a further year on Lescott's agreement at the Hawthorns, Villa are trusting the offer of a long haul arrangement, joined with the reality he grew up as a childhood Villa fan, will support their shots of landing the defender.
